Year 2 Echidnas and Platypuses

The Year Twos have got off to a wonderful start getting to know their new routines, teachers and friends. So far, they have enjoyed making pancakes for Shrove Tuesday, playing Mathematics games, helping in the school vegetable garden and running around under the sprinklers.

We have been very patient during this hot weather and made the most of playing board games and construction inside the class during some playtimes. We have enjoyed learning about rhyming poems in English and have been reading a shared book called The Lion Inside and which has some new vocabulary. We have also been enjoying listening to Flat Stanley, our class novel.

In HASS we have been learning about the states and territories of Australia and some special features that can be found in each. In Health we have been revising our Student Code of Conduct so that our class rooms can be are safe, happy and respectful place where we love learning
