Pedestrian Crossings & carpark use

We are so fortunate to have Des and Liz, employed by Kingston City Council, supervise the pedestrian crossings that are used by many of our students (and some staff) each morning and afternoon.

Des oversees the crossing on Balcombe Road near the gym where there are no traffic lights. Liz oversees the eastern side of Charman Road (not the other three crossings) on the corner of Balcombe and Charman Roads.

Students should follow the crossings and follow the instructions of the supervisors. Crossing the busy roads anywhere else is dangerous for our students, road users and the students doing the right thing.

Car park use

Parents are reminded not to enter the carpark to drop off and pick up students at anytime - before, during or after school hours. Please use the the designated drop off zone in Charman Road. The carparks are not been designed for high volumes of through traffic or pedestrians. All carparks are out of bounds areas for students.

Canteen

MGSC’s canteen operators, Mary and Sean of The Cafeteria Company, are pleased to announce that orders can now be placed through Flexischools. Pre-ordering through Flexischools avoids queues, ensures special dietary needs (ie gluten-free or vegan) are met, and makes for easy payment.

Over the counter Canteen payments are by cash or bank card (credit or debit) only. Mobile phones cannot be used at school. Apple Pay is not accepted.
