Reading: Aim to read for 15 minutes per night.
Inquiry: When reading, reflect on the values of the characters in your books. How do their values impact the choices they make?

Literacy:
Spelling: Year 3 sound focus this week is the ‘se’ and ‘ze’ sound, with a grammar focus on 3rd person singular verbs ending in ‘y’. Year 4 sound focus is on the suffix ‘ic’, with a grammar focus on comparatives and superlatives.

Writer’s Workshop:We will be crafting, editing and publishing our own Author Blurbs, which we will then use in any books that we publish throughout the year.
Reader’s Workshop: To link with our Inquiry, we are continuing to look at character traits, values and their actions.
Mathematics: We will continue with our measurement investigations, with a focus on length.
Unit of Inquiry: This week in our Unit of Inquiry ‘Who We Are’, we are circling back and exploring our own values. We will be using our knowledge learnt throughout this unit to create our own personal flag that represents our values.
