This award goes to Sienna for her wonderful effort collecting and recording facts in our Reading and Writing lessons. She contributed her ideas to class discussions and remembered lots of fun facts to put in her writing. Well done Sienna!!

This award goes to Violet for her wonderful efforts in Writing this week. Violet, your information report on Australia is really coming to life with your sub-headings about the sea and bushlands. In particular your word choice, for example “camouflage” and “predators”. I look forward to reading the finished product!

Alexis B. - 1/2K

This award goes to Alexis for showing a fantastic ‘have a go’ attitude during Writing this week. She wrote a terrific information report about playgrounds, split clearly into 3 paragraphs with pictures and diagrams. Alexis asked for help when needed and never gave up! We are so proud of you.

This award goes to Rohith for displaying the HEART value of Excellence. In writing this week he used a graphic organiser to plan his ideas under subheadings and began drafting his information report on octopuses. He put great thought into his writing and used interesting word choices. Keep up the great work, Rohith!

Elena, a vibrant participant of our class, actively contributes to class discussions with enthusiasm. Through her articulate expression of ideas, she demonstrates her understanding of subjects like informative texts. To conclude our writing on informative text, Elena has been able to apply her knowledge to craft a well written piece about the Taj Mahal. Well done, Elena!

Tenzin W. - 5/6W

The award goes to Tenzin for demonstrating the Scoresby HEART value of Acceptance. This term, Tenzin has shown incredible kindness towards others, particularly during lunch and recess time. He has consistently encouraged a student to play basketball with him and his friends, and has made a conscious effort to teach them some new skills to help them play and be a more active member of the team. Tenzin, keep being your kind self. I am so proud to be your teacher this year.

Bailey C. - Visual Arts

This award goes to Bailey for his effort when exploring ‘Rarrk’ art. Bailey designed a terrific kangaroo for the subject of his art and took care when outlining his work and drawing lines for his crosshatching section. Awesome work Bailey!
