PRINICPAL’S REPORT

New Arrival!

Congratulations to Mr Den Elzen, who became a proud dad to a beautiful baby girl, Harper! We hope you are enjoying being a first-time dad!

District Cross Country

Well done to all our district cross country team for representing our Whitehorse PS with enthusiasm and sportsmanship. Your efforts have made us proud! Special congratulations to the following students Justin C, Bailey R and Alice O who have qualified for Divisionals! Your determination and skills have shone through, and we wish you the very best as you prepare for the next level of competition. Thank you to all the staff who helped on the day and the parents who came along to support and cheer our students on.

Whitehorse Family Network

A massive shout out to our Whitehorse Family Network who have been super busy this term already. The Freezer Angels team cooked up a storm in our Stephanie Alexander Kitchen recently, making hearty meals for families in need. Thank you for care and compassion, it is very much appreciated by all.

“We have a fresh batch of food in the Freezer Angels freezer (behind lost property) including Spaghetti bolognese with gluten free pasta, filo logs, pumpkin soup and sticky date pudding cupcakes with butterscotch sauce. Remember that if you or anyone you know can benefit from these meals, please help yourself to the freezer. There are brown paper bags on the shelf above to carry the meals in.”

Coral & Alex!

We extend our gratitude also to all who helped set up and organized the wonderful Mother's Day stall, allowing our students the opportunity to purchase a small gift. A big thank you to Lené who did a fabulous job ordering and coordinating the Mother’s Day stall.

Wellbeing Professional Learning Team

Last week, our Wellbeing Professional Learning Team spent a day out of the classroom to collaborate and develop resources and lesson plans for our School Wide Positive Behaviour Program Support (SWPBS). These efforts are instrumental in cultivating a positive and safe learning environment at Whitehorse PS.

Thanks to Mrs Cotroneo, Mrs Hume, Miss Ranson and Miss Tia for your efforts.

Education Week

This week we are celebrating Education Week, so please come along and join us for our open afternoons on Tuesday and Thursday from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, where each class will showcase hands-on STEM activities. We look forward to celebrating Education Week with our school community and prospective familie.

Kind regards,

Mrs Jo Majdan
