Principal's Report
- Tania Sorbello
Last week marked our first of four transition sessions for our 2026 Preps. The session was incredibly successful, with our newest little community members settled and excited to become a part of our wonderful school. These sessions will run for the next three weeks so make sure to say hello if you see a new family in the yard and welcome them to our amazing community.

We would like to thank all families who provided valuable information about their child to support the formation of our 2026 classes.
This week, our teachers are finalising class groupings, drawing on student friendship requests and their deep understanding of how each child learns best. The leadership team is also reviewing all parent and carer feedback at this time. We are carefully considering each request as we work to develop class structures for 2026. Our goal is to create balanced classes across year levels, genders, academic and behavioural needs, and, of course, those important friendships that help foster a positive and supportive learning environment.
Our Years 1-6 Step-Up morning will be held on Tuesday 9th December 2025. This day will be an opportunity to spend time in their new classrooms, with their new teachers and begin to weave the social fabric of their classroom community for 2026.
Congratulations to our Year 5 students who are currently preparing their speeches as part of the selection process for the 2026 Junior School Council Executive. We are incredibly proud of their efforts, their emerging leadership skills, and the thoughtful ideas they are developing to enhance the student experience at FNPS.
The incoming JSC Executive will work alongside the 2025 Year 6 JSC team to lead our final assembly of the year, marking an exciting transition as they step into their new roles.
A reminder that our FNPS PYP Open Afternoon, along with the End of Year Picnic and Year 5 $20 Boss is scheduled for Wednesday 10th December 3:00pm – 6:30pm.
