From the Girls on Track Program
On November 14th, some of the lucky Grade 5 girls went to Sandown Race Course and participated in a day of activities that tested reflexes, speed, fitness and a whole lot more! The girls got to have a go at changing a racing car tyre and did some coding! One of the favourite activities was having a tour of a garage or 'pit stop'.
From the Grade 6 Netball Tournament
Grade 4 Hooptime Girls
First Round
We versed Woori Yallock and won 2 to 15.
It was a great start to the day.
But we weren’t to sure that we would make it to the finals yet.
Second Round
We versed Mooroolbark East and won by 4 points.
They were a tough team but we were just able to beat them.
Third Round
We versed Woori Yallock again and won again .
It was a round for fun but it was still a joy to have.
Grand Final
This was the hardest game of the day .
In the finals we versed Mooroolbark East again because there were only two other teams.
But we were so fortunate to win the grand final.😁
Fingers crossed that we will get far in the state championships.
Looking forward to state. 🏀😁
From the Grade 3 Gundiwindi Camp
On 12-14 November 2025, we went on our Grade 3 Gundiwindi Camp. When we arrived at camp, we ate our snack, received our awesome camp booklets and got told our cabin mates. We were really excited because we almost got all our friends in our cabins! Luckily the boys and girls were separated!
First, we had a play on the playground and some sports equipment. Then, we did initiatives skills such as balancing on a huge balancing beam, jumping through gaps of a big spider web (not a real spider web, so don’t be afraid!) and climbing over a wall with the help of our teammates. After this, we ate our lunch and set up our cabins.
We then did our rotations such as flying fox, giant swing, making damper, ropes course, archery and survival skills. We thought the most exciting activities were survival skills, giant swing and making damper.
Survival skills
Our task was to build a base good enough that if you splashed water on it, it would not get soaked. Then, we had to gather wood and metal to make a shelter. Our shelter was a disaster because after some time of standing still, it collapsed!
Giant Swing
We had to choose a height of how high we wanted to drop. The first person got to pick how high they wanted to drop. Everyone else didn’t have a choice and they were stuck with the highest drop. When you are at the top, there is a red cord that you have to pull to release you. When you pulled the red cord, your heart drops and your stomach goes blank, but it was a lot of fun.
Damper
In damper, we used a stick, put dough on top of it, and put the dough over coal to cook it. We had to be very patient for it to be the most delicious damper ever made. Ours turned out to be THE most delicious damper ever made! We could choose our toppings such as butter and jam. It was very yummy!
GUNDIWINDI CAMP WAS THE BEST!!

From our upcoming Mud Kitchen
Our playground is about to get a wonderful new addition—a mud kitchen—and it’s being built by Mr Tibballs! He has been busy putting it together, and thanks to his hard work, the kitchen will be ready for students to enjoy next week. Once complete, it will give students the chance to explore, role play, and learn through hands-on play. We’re grateful to Mr Tibballs for making this project possible, and we can’t wait to see the creativity and fun that will come from our young chefs when the mud kitchen opens.
