IMPORTANT: PLANNING WEEK TIMETABLE CHANGE

Due to the adjustments made to some of our 2026 teams earlier this week, the planning week timetable has changed to ensure all teachers can plan with their 2026 teams.

Please see the updated planning week timetable here.

The main changes are:

  • Tuesday/ Thursday planning days swapped around: Foundation and Year 2 will now plan on Tuesday 9th December, Year 1 and Year 4 will now plan on Thursday 11 December.
  • Year 4 mini musicals: these are still happening on Tuesday 9th, as parents have been invited and it is too late to change.  Year 4 teachers - you will need to take your class to their mini-musical performance on Tuesday and Rose will be there to run the event with the students.
  • Leadership planning day: will now happen on Tuesday 9th instead of Thursday 11th.

Could all teachers please review the updated timetable to make sure you are aware of your role for the week.  Especially those who are moving year levels and may be required to cover staff coming into your current year level.

Staff who are marked as 'available', please look in the Daily Org closer to the day you are available to see what your role will be - most likely releasing colleagues to observe students of note in 2026 classes.

****Finally- if there is a session marked 'Team Building' in your current year level's planning day timetable please ensure a lesson plan for this is uploaded to the Staff Drive ASAP.  This is the responsibility of the classroom teachers, not the specialists who will be covering the session with the students***

****Please note that the final version of the planning day agenda will be available on Monday. There are a few tweaks to be done by Nancy.

French activities to include in your planning

Following your feedback, we’ve put together a short document outlining all the French activities you’ll need to include in your 2026 planning, organised by term.

Please feel free to adjust anything if you notice an error. We hope this helps guide your planning next week.

Here is the document: https://docs.google.com/document/d/18ejNMxt9yHGqGXQc3agdspabymX2BwkbGmQ2hx5rY4c/edit?tab=t.0

Bon planning!

Transition Ambassadors/ Internal Transition Day

Transition Ambassadors

Unfortunately due to the end of year business, we have lost a week of meetings with the Transition Ambassadors!  This means the students are slightly behind with their presentations and time is runnng out.  We will run a TA's meeting on Tuesday lunchtime in Week 10 to help the students finish their presentations and will let teachers/ YLCs know if their year level needs a little more time.

To support the Transition Ambassadors could Foundation- Year 5 teachers please get in touch with the year level above you to work out when the Transition Ambassadors can come and visit classes to share their presentations.  This could happen towards the end of Week 10 or throughout Week 11.

Internal Transition Day

Also please note that our internal transition day will be happening in Week 11 on Tuesday 16 December during sessions 3-4.  The timetable for this will be provided in the next briefing notes and roles will be provided for all specialists and staff leaving the school.  Please factor this into your planning for Week 11, as well as a visit from your Transition Ambassadors. Thanks!

WEEK 10 - Year 2-5 Drama Performances

This term in Performing Arts, students have been focusing on a drama unit.

Next week, students will be performing their plays during their Performing Arts planning week class. Parents have been aware of times via Seesaw and Le Journal of performance times. Students are to organise heir own costume and to bring it to school on the day & will change prior to the play. The story line has been create by the students so are quite interesting, unique and different!!

Families have been invited to come along and watch and so are any of the classes. Please let me know if you plan to come and watch so we allow some floor space.

Seesaw classes - Unarchived

I’ve been pulling some old classes out of the archives to access videos for the Year 6 graduation videos. Please don’t re-archive them just yet — I’ll put them back as soon as I’ve finished with them.

Thanks so much!
