Year 3/4 News

Writing
Our Grade 3/4 students have been busy creating their own information texts about Australian animals.
Grade 3/4B visited the Kindergarten to share their completed books with the younger students.
Last week, we also welcomed the Grade 1/2s into our classrooms so they could share their information texts with us. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate students’ writing across the school.
Resilience Project
We have been learning how to practise empathy by considering and understanding the experiences, perspectives and feelings of others.
In class, we’ve been talking about simple ways to show kindness to others, especially at this time of year. We encourage students to practise these acts of kindness at home, with friends, and in the community.
Inquiry
We’ve been learning about Indigenous culture, and this week, students created their own dot paintings using traditional symbols.
Christmas Writing
This week, we started some Christmas writing. Students chose a Christmas-themed task based on the genres we’ve learned this year. Gabi and Cydie even wrote their own song and sang it beautifully.
