READING

In reading we have been focusing on improving our fluency and expression. We look for clues in the punctuation: including: talking marks, elipses, exclamation and question marks, elipses and the use of BOLD words.

GRAMMAR AND SPELLING

We have been learning about how and when to use past tense verbs (jumped), plurals (buses), contractions (didn't, I'll), homophones (to, too, two) and compound words (rainbow).

WRITING

The Preps have continued learning how to write a procedure; which has included how to make a pirate hat and how to make a chocolate cake. 

We are also excited to be writing a letter to their Kinder buddy welcoming them to big school. Next week we will hand deliver them and go for a play at Kinder.
