Specialist Feature News - Indonesian

Selamat Siang semuanya, 

As we wrap up our Indonesian program for the term, we would like to celebrate some highlights so far! 

In the Senior School, 5/6s have been upskilling their conversational skills to order food using Bahasa Indonesia. They learnt how to specify amounts and spice levels when ordering Nasi Goreng (fried rice) and practiced this when we made Nasi Goreng with Bu Ningsih. 

In 3/ 4 we have been finalising our triramas, showcasing and labelling parts of the Indonesian forest / hutan. Students have worked to label different parts of the environment including the animals and the land. 

In the Junior school, students continued to work on their knowledge of basic vocabulary such as colours, age and greetings! Students worked hard with Mrs Tyson to learn 'Selamat Hari Natal' to sing as the community song at the Christmas concert. Bagus sekali! 

It has been an absolute pleasure to teach Indonesian this year! We are so grateful for all of the students curiosity, perseverance and interest to learn about another culture and language!
