Discovery Centre

Selamat Siang,
This week signaled the start of summer and the start of the festive cheer. We had so much fun at the Christmas Concert and we hope you all enjoyed an afternoon full of joy and singing as well.
This week in Mathematics, students have been exploring Data and Statistics including collecting data using tally marks, as well as displaying their data in various ways. We created pictographs to display information about animals, and students collected their own data and created a bar graph about their peers favourite colours.
In English, students created a short information report about a location in Australia. Throughout the week, we analyzed the features of non-fiction texts including headings, clarifying sentences and labeled pictures/diagrams. It was impressive to see students apply this knowledge, as well as their own prior knowledge about different locations to write their information report.
