Dear families,

Seaside Fair – This Sunday 23 November!

We are counting down the days to our Seaside Fair this Sunday, 23 November—and with a beautiful 23-degree forecast, it’s the perfect setting for what promises to be a vibrant and fun-filled community event!

A heartfelt thank you to all parents, carers and volunteers who have contributed to the planning and preparation of the fair. These events rely on the generosity, time and energy of our community, and we are incredibly grateful for every helping hand.

A special acknowledgement goes to Heidi and Sam, who have led the charge from day one. Their organisation, leadership and tireless work behind the scenes has been instrumental in bringing this event to life.

We also extend our deepest thanks to our wonderful sponsors:

Platinum Sponsor – Jellis Craig

We are proud to be supported by Jellis Craig, whose ongoing commitment to our school and the wider community is exceptional. Their generosity, community-minded approach, and unwavering support make a significant difference to what we can offer at events like this. We are truly thankful for their partnership.

Gold Sponsor – Dig Design

A huge thank you to Dig Design, long-standing supporters of our school. Their continued contribution and belief in our community help make events like the Seaside Fair both possible and memorable. We are grateful for their ongoing support.

With rides, stalls, entertainment and delicious food, this year’s Seaside Fair will be an event not to be missed. We can’t wait to see our school community come together for a fantastic day.

See you on Sunday!

REMINDERS

We would like to remind our school community that major building works will commence from Monday 24 November.

As part of these works, the school bike racks will be temporarily relocated to the back of the PE Hall along Electra Street.

Please note that the Electra Street gate will remain locked during this period to ensure additional safety and security for our students and equipment.

To support a smooth transition, these new bike arrangements will be in place from tomorrow, Friday 21 November.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work to improve our school facilities.

Changes to the school’s Learning Support Program (Tutor Learning Program)

Supporting Students in Literacy and Numeracy

From 2026, our school will be part of the Department of Education Victoria’s new Literacy and Numeracy Early Intervention Program (LNEIP). This program will replace the previous Tutor Learning Program and continues our commitment to supporting every child’s learning.

LNEIP will provide targeted, small-group support for students in Years 1 to 6 who are performing significantly below the expected standard. While the program will look a little different, with new enrollment criteria, our school’s focus remains the same: meeting the learning needs of all students.

Students in Years 1–3 who do not meet the LNEIP eligibility criteria for literacy will continue to receive support through our school-based Reading Support Program, ensuring no child misses out on the help they need to develop strong foundational skills.

Further correspondence will be emailed to all families who currently have a student enrolled in the school’s tutor learning program

Warm regards,

Mat Montebello
