RE NEWS

Dear Families,

As you can imagine the school is a hive of activity at the moment. Everywhere I go, the students are busy with both their learning and preparing for upcoming events like the Colour Run and our Christmas Carols Concert.

Staff PD Day

Last week the staff had a wonderful RE Professional Development Day. We looked at the Creation story in detail and compared the narratives from Genesis. We got great insights and new ideas for our planning and teaching. We also looked at the recent encyclical from Pope Francis looking at climate change and how this has the greatest effect on the poorer nations of our world. We reflected on Pope Francis’ message to the world as a whole and our responsibility to be active in fighting for the preservation of our world for future generations.
