WORLD TEACHERS’ DAY CELEBRATION at HIGHVALE

There has been a highly positive response to our WTD celebration at Highvale with teachers truly delighted receiving heartfelt and happiness-boosting messages published in our previous Newsletter, and would have started a ‘gratitude culture’ at our amazing school. Please admire three more cards with appreciative messages from students Hasini (Y7), Emme (Y8), and Year 12s Natanya, Trisha, Nikki and Angela:

Please enjoy a reflection on WTD by Arneiysh K. (Y10):

World Teachers’ Day is a day to celebrate how teachers are transforming education and thanking them for the important role they play within the classroom.

There are over 80 million teachers worldwide but despite so many people who are dedicated into providing education, we still need more people to pursue the teaching profession. By celebrating WTD we are not only acknowledging the hard work but also contributing towards the growth of quality education. It is evident that teachers desire more platforms to share and discuss their ideas, visions and problems. The event is also a good day to assess on a global scale what has been made in the development of such platforms. Education has come a long way over the last few centuries but we all know that there is still a lot more to get done.

The HIGHVALE WRITERS’ CLUB invites everyone to contribute poetry and other short literary pieces that can inspire anyone at our Highvale school community. Submit your contribution to our Library Team and be an inspiration while being creative. This is also a great opportunity to be published in our fortnightly Newsletter. Thank you to those who have already contributed and inspired our HSC readership.
