Ms Grace Carlo-Stella

Principal (acting)

Dear Parents,

And my God will meet all your needs

according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:19

Thank You

A big thank you to the Friends of Francis Committee, Mrs Mediati, Mrs Soulos and Mrs Iannuzzi for organising with the year four parents a lovely World Teacher's Day morning tea.

Also, thank you to Mrs Isabella Barbera, Mrs Eleni Kyriakou and the Student Representative Council for the beautiful school assembly.

Fr Richard celebrated a special mass for the staff at 8am last Friday and gave us a blessing to continue on the work of educating. It was such a wonderful way to begin our day.

World Teachers Day - a personal reflection

As we celebrated World Teachers' Day last week, I am grateful for the work, commitment, dedication and selflessness of our teachers who every day make a difference in a child's life. As Christa McAuliffe said when asked what she did - "I touch the future, I teach."

McAuliffe was a teacher in the US who was onboard the space shuttle that exploded on 28 Jan 1986.

Personally, this is a day I always remember as it was the day that I began my teaching journey. Every day, I am grateful that I chose this profession.  I am privileged to be able to 'touch the future, I teach'.

I encourage all young people to consider the teaching profession. It is rewarding and the young lives that one encounters are remembered for a lifetime.

All Saints and All Souls Day -

November 1st is dedicated to All Saints Day, a day to honour all the saints, known and unknown, who have gone before us. On November 2nd, we observe All Souls Day, a time to pray for the souls of the departed. We encourage you to engage in meaningful discussions with your children about the importance of these days and the significance of remembering and praying for our loved ones.

Celebrating 95 Years of St. Francis Xavier Ashbury and the Naming of the Merici Hall

This year, we are commemorating a remarkable milestone in the history of our school and parish - 95 years of service and faith. We invite you to join us in this special celebration, which will bring our school and parish communities together to give thanks for our rich heritage and to look forward to a promising future.

Mass will be celebrated on

Sunday, November 5th, at 10 a.m

The Mass will be presided over by Bishop Danny Meagher, and he will also bless the Merici Hall. We are deeply grateful for the generous support of the parish, as they allow us to use Merici Hall every day to enrich the lives of our students. This celebration is a beautiful opportunity for us to come together as a united community and celebrate our shared journey.

We invite you, your family, and friends to join us for this extraordinary event. It's a chance to reflect on our history, acknowledge our accomplishments, and embrace the promising future. Let's celebrate our strong sense of community and faith.

We look forward to seeing you at Mass. Let us come together in gratitude and reverence, as we continue to build a nurturing and faith-filled environment for our students.

Thank you for your continued support, and we can't wait to share this special day with you.

Kind regards,

Grace Carlo-Stella
