Joke of the Week
An old-time pastor was riding furiously down the road,
hurrying to get to church on time.
Suddenly, his horse stumbled and threw him to the ground.
Lying in the dirt, his body wracked with pain, the pastor called out,
"All you angels in heaven, help me get up on my horse!"
With extraordinary strength,
he leaped onto the horse's back and fell off the other side.
From the ground again, he called out,
"All right, just half of you angels this time!"
Basketball Clinic - Wednesday 22nd November
On Wednesday 22nd November Knox Basketball will be running a basketball clinic for all students, with fun activities and giveaways!!
We ask that students wear full school sports uniform on this day, but are also invited to wear a basketball jersey over their sports top, if they have one!
Grade 6 Graduation Ceremony & Party
The Grade 6 Graduation ceremony is currently scheduled for Tuesday 12th December. More details regarding this event will be communicated in the coming weeks.
The grade 6 Graduation party will be held on Thursday 14th December. As this is a parent-run event a committee has been formed to plan and arrange the party.Please email Denise if you have any questions.
Library Books
Next week will be the children's last library borrowing session for the year. In the coming weeks please remember to return all books that might still be at home. Please contact the library or classroom teacher if you are unsure of which books might be overdue.
Bakers Delight Christmas Fundraiser
Its that time of the year again! Bakers Delight Vermont South, would like to offer you the opportunity to purchase delicious Fruit Mince Tarts, Lemon Tarts, Christmas Cakes, Christmas Tree Cakes and Small Cakes for the festive season. For every six-pack of Christmas Tarts or cakes you order, Bakers Delight Vermont South will give $2.00 to the school.
Simply place your order via CDFpay by Monday 11th December and your order will be delivered to the school ready for collection on Thursday 14th December.
Remember to ask family and friends if they would like to order some too!
Issue 8 Scholastic Book Club - Final for 2023
Dont forget to submit your orders from the Issue 8 Scholastic Book Club catalogue. This will be the final catalogue for 2023. There are some awesome Christmas ideas so take the time to browse. Term 4 Uniform
We remind parents and children that term 4 has a ‘No Hat – No Play’ Sunsmart policy. Children must have their hats for every break and PE lesson this term. It must also be a proper Holy Saviour hat, normal caps with other logos are not our school uniform and children will not be allowed to play unless it is the proper hat. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.
Just a reminder also that during term 4, all children will be required to wear their sport uniforms on Tuesdays (dance lessons) and Thursdays (swimming). Full school uniform is to be worn on all other days.
Holy Saviour Mums WhatsApp Group
The "Holy Saviour Mums" WhatsApp group is a parent initiative designed to share information and communicate with one another. If you would like to join the group and stay in the loop please contact Denise Konstantinou (0414 990 344) and she will add you to the group. You don't have to be a mum to join...Dads are welcome too!
Excel Music Lessons At Holy Saviour
Excel Music will once again be offering music lessons at Holy Saviour. All children enrolled in 2022 will automatically be re-enroled in 2023. Excel Music will contact you directly with any additional information.
If your child is interested in music lessons, Excel Music provides private or group music lessons in guitar, keyboard or drums during school hours. If you are interested, please complete an enrolment form and return it either to the office or email it directly to music@excelmusic.com.au. More information about Excel Music can be found here.

Holy Saviour Playgroup
Please note that Playgroup is now on Tuesday mornings 9am - 11am. All babies and preschoolers are welcome. So come along and meet some parents for a cuppa while the children have a play. Please pass on this flyer to any families who might be interested.
