Term 4 Sport

With 85% of our cohort participating in a least one co-curricular activity this year, Term 4 is proving to be another very busy period for Team sVc.

 

Most activities have commenced this week and students/parents should have received specific communications with team lists, rosters and specific information for their activity.

 

A big thank you to our dedicated team of teachers and staff who have put their hand up to look after the this term.

Achievements

Soccer

Congratulations to student athletes Ayrton Brown (Year 7), Connor Store (Year 8) and Mackie Venettacci (Year 7) for representing Football Tasmania's Talent Support Program (TSP) last weekend in the Shepparton Cup. More information about the program can be found here.

 

Athletics

Last weekend three student athletes represented the College at the Tasmanian All Schools Athletics Championships in Launceston. Congratulations to Arden Petersen (Year 7), Nicholas Chivers (Year 9) and Oliver Morgan (Year 10) on some outstanding results.

All three students have now earnt the right to represent the College and Tasmania at the Australian All Schools Track and Field Championships in Perth in December. Well done boys.

 

Tennis

Congratulations to Charlie Marsden (Year 7) who played some great tennis in the U12 Australian Hardcourt Championships in Adelaide during the school holidays. Charlie ended up finishing 24th overall - a very notable result, being the only child representing Tasmania in a National tournament against some tough competition!
