Nihon Matsuri-Japan Festival

Last Friday, our school community came together to celebrate our annual Japanese Festival Day—and what an incredible day it was! The event was bursting with energy and culture, featuring an exciting karate demonstration and a surprise visit from Pikachu that brought joy to guests of all ages. Students also took part in an energetic kendo workshop, a traditional puppet show and accompanying workshop and hands-on dance and manga workshops that offered a deeper exploration of Japanese art and expression. A standout highlight was the Yayoi Kusama-inspired obliteration room, where every student contributed by adding colourful sticky dots and unique artworks, transforming the space into a vibrant, collaborative installation. A huge thank you to everyone who embraced the spirit of the day—your enthusiasm made the celebration truly special!
