Orchard
A big thank you for the green thumbs from 34S for their collaboration in the school's orchard this week.
We planned our working bee in the classroom and then ventured outside to give the orchard an overdue clean up.
Everybody had a role and this made working together easier and we were able to achieve a great deal of TLC.
Having the orchard is a great way for the kids to learn more about where our food comes from. They love caring for living things and can talk about water cycles, seasonal changes and growth. The enthusiasm and expertise was impressive, what a great way to spend the afternoon.
World Bee Day
Thanks to all the students who submitted an entry in the Bee drawing/painting competition. The goal of the competition was to help raise awareness of World Bee Day next Tuesday, 20 May.
