Year 11 Creswick Camp

Year 11 students did King’s College proud with their enthusiastic team building, creative problem solving, and supportive collaboration over the course of a three day adventure camp in Creswick this week. Group challenge activities included the Giant Swing, the Leap of Faith, Clip-n-Climb, Milk Crate Tower Stack, Flying Fox, Zipline and a Night Hike.

On day 1, Toby and Matthew broke an obstacle course record, while on day  2 all students (and teachers!) took on an adrenaline-pumping challenge by climbing 10 meters high to jump from the Leap of Faith Tower. At another site, teams worked together to suspend teammates on five meter high milk crate towers that required special coordination of balance and determination.

Equally creative were the number of upside-down rides on the the Giant Swing, Zipline and Flying Fox. Some even had a go clipped to a partner and blindfolded. Fearless! Additionally, the noodle jousting tournament generated a good deal of laughter in the spirit of playful but fierce competition. Finally, in response to heartfelt thanks from our students, LCC guide William congratulated King’s College students for being such a friendly and upbeat group that exhibited spirited courage and inclusive encouragement.
