Important College
Information
Should a student feel unwell during the school day, they must report to the First Aid Office for assessment. If necessary, First Aid staff will contact parents to arrange for the student to be collected. Students are not permitted to contact parents directly to leave the campus.
This process ensures we meet our duty of care and maintain accurate records of student wellbeing and departures.
As the College’s mobile phone policy prohibits student phone use during the school day, students are not able to respond to direct messages or calls from parents. We ask that any appointments or changes to routines be discussed with your child before the school day begins or are communicated to the College via Student Services.
Thank you for supporting our policy to ensure a focused learning and social environment for all our students.
We wish to remind all families the process of notifying the College when your child is absent or attending an appointment during the school day. Parent notification is required when your son is arriving late, leaving early, absent or has planned absences. Should students arrive after 8.40am, they must sign in at Student Services.

St Bede's College has a Student Accident Policy that covers our students 24 hours a day,
7 days a week for College related activities.
This insurance policy covers the following types of events: dental injury, broken or fractured bones, dislocation of joints, ligament and organ damage, burns, non-Medicare accident expenses etc.
Should you need to make a claim, you can access the insurance claim form online here.
If you've recently moved, changed contact details, or your circumstances have changed, please be sure to update your contact details. Kingston Council has reached out to the College regarding a series of near misses with cars and pedestrians at our school crossings. Our young people rely on every driver to make safe choices.
In response, a traffic and car parking blitz will be taking place, so please ensure you are parked appropriately within any zones on surrounding streets.
As such, we wish to remind our College Community about the importance of safe driving behaviour around school crossings. To keep everyone in our community safe, we ask that you please:
Always slow down when approaching school crossings.
Obey crossing supervisors and wait until pedestrians have completely crossed.
Never stop or park in no-stopping zones near crossings, as this blocks visibility.
Avoid distractions such as mobile phones when driving near the school.
Be patient – a few extra minutes can prevent a tragedy.
Together, we can ensure that school drop-off and pick-up times are safe for everyone.
Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us protect the safety and wellbeing of our community.
