STUDENT VOICE

Leadership Team 2025
A big thank you to our Leadership Team—captains, vice captains, and prefects—for their hard work and dedication throughout the year. Your commitment to organising events, supporting fundraisers, and leading by example has made a positive difference in our school community. We truly appreciate your enthusiasm, responsibility, and teamwork that have helped make this year successful and memorable for everyone.
Public School Ambassadors
Congratulations to our Public Ambassadors, Jessica and Maryana, on successfully completing their Kindness Project. They have had a wonderful year, demonstrating dedication and compassion that positively impacted our school community. Well done on your inspiring efforts and meaningful contributions!
News from the SRC
A big thank you to the school community for supporting the SRC bottle collection and class donation initiative, raising money for Miracle Babies. We have been able to raise over $700. The last week for bottle recycling is Week 8. We will not be accepting any further bottles after this time until next year.
A big thank you to the SRC members for their hard work, and to all the students who have assisted the team this year. We are looking forward to see what the SRC will do in 2026.
Leadership by the Cowpasture
Congratulations to our captains and vice captains on the successful completion of their project installing new bin lids. The new bins and lids have arrived and are already helping to keep our school neat and tidy by preventing bin chickens from scattering rubbish. Your initiative and hard work have made a real difference in maintaining a cleaner, safer environment for everyone.
Every Step Counts March
Our leaders represented Green Valley Public School at the Cowpasture Network - Every Step Counts March. The walk was designed to raise awareness about domestic violence, promoted respectful relationships, and encouraged our community to stand up and say ‘NO’ to violence of any kind.
Year 6 Fundraiser
Our Year 6 students would like to thank everyone who bought a snowcone for their fundraiser. It was a huge success. Thank you again for your support.
Children's Parliament
The Children’s Parliament recently celebrated its 10-year anniversary at the Casula Powerhouse, bringing together past, present, and future parliamentarians for a truly special event. One of the highlights was hearing from former Green Valley student, Safaa Saeed, who shared the powerful impact the Children’s Parliament has had on her journey.
It was inspiring to watch our current students connect with former parliamentarians and ambassadors, building relationships that span across years of leadership and advocacy. Moments like these remind us that the Children’s Parliament creates a lasting legacy; shaping confident voices, strengthening community connections, and empowering young people long after their time in primary school.
