From the Classroom - D4 (Ms Mayes)

One of the very special parts of learning in Foundation is developing the skills to become an independent reader. We practice these skills every day and we also make time to enjoy sharing a range of books with one another.
In D4, we love reading and we especially love spending time in the Foundation Library. There are so many shiny new books to enjoy! Good quality picture books have so much to offer our Foundation readers, even before they can independently read all of the text.
In our library, the books are organised into different categories and cover lots of areas of interest including 'Families', 'Nature', 'Non-Fiction' and 'Rhyming'.
Recently, the 'Julia Donaldson' and 'Funny' collections have been very popular with the children in D4. Here are some D4 readers to share the titles they have been enjoying and the reasons why they enjoy them.
"I enjoyed this book because..."
