Principal's Report

We, at Miners Rest Primary School, would like to acknowledge the Wadawurrung people of the Kulin Nation.
We pay our respects and thank the Wadawurrung people. May we share your land. We promise to look after it, as well as the animals and people too.
Professional Practice Day
As our families enjoyed the long weekend, staff attended a Professional Practice Day at school. Our teaching staff, and educational support staff, engaged in important professional development including preparation for reporting, assessment collation and planning for the remainder of Term Four. The day was an invaluable opportunity to plan and prepare as a collective.
Cultural Understanding School Improvement Team
Our Cultural Understanding School improvement Team is managing a review of our Sporting Houses, including the historical nature and identity of each. In order to ensure that the team capture the perspectives of our stakeholders in this important process, the team are seeking input from families.

Ball Sports
We are looking forward to welcoming our families to our ever-popular Ball Sports event this Friday. Bring a chair, some coins for the coffee van and some spectator spirit to cheer on our students.
Mini Fete
From 2:00pm until 3:00pm this Friday, families are once again welcome to join us as we enjoy our Mini Fete. Although not a major fundraiser, this event promises to be an opportunity for families to join in with our children as they explore opportunities to enjoy and experiences planned and provided by all of our classes across the school.
We look forward to seeing you on Friday,
Kylie Nissen.
