End of Year Mass

This week we as a school celebrated the end of year at Mass. It was a lovely celebration. Our Year Six Students passed their light to the Year Five Students who will be our 2024 Leaders.

Our Work with Scripture

Tonight at Carols there is a booklet to showcase our work with scripture. All levels have been working on different parts of the Birth of Jesus Story. Each level has recontextualised this in a different way - make it meaningful to them and their context. If you don't get your hands on one of these booklets, there will be spares in the office next week.

Here is an artists example of recontextualising the birth story in a visual way:

Advent

Last Sunday was the beginning of Advent. This week, our Five/Six Students led us in our second Advent Prayer Service.

A prayer for Advent...

Dear Lord, please allow me to embrace Advent in the way the Church intends: as a way to prepare for Your arrival. May everything I do–every gift I send, every party I attend, every meal I share–remind me to prepare space in my heart for You. Amen.

St Michael's Giving Tree 2023

As we approach the season of Advent we will prepare for Christmas by continuing with our tradition of the St Michael’s Giving Tree.

In past years we have been incredibly grateful for the generosity of our families as they contributed to our Giving Tree. The presents that were purchased by our school community were presented to St. Vincent de Paul on the evening of our school carols. With great joy and love, these gifts were then distributed to families less fortunate than ours. Through this simple act of kindness, it allowed us to live out our Gospel values and the vision of our school…” to be the human face of Jesus.”

You are able to donate:
