Italian News

Signorina Jones

Mamma mia, what a fun time we have had in the Italian room this term!

We had amazing success in the WAATI “Fammi un Poster Italiano” competition with an impressive standard of work across the school. Congratulations again to our winners on their eccellente efforts and prizes!

Studenti in Years 3-6 have been busy with a wide range of tasks and I have been so impressed with the amount of pride and effort they have put into their Italian work, both spoken and written. In the photos, you’ll see Year 3 work depicting what they have learned about famous Roman landmarks visited in Mr Chicken arriva a Roma as well as their ‘weather wheels’ depicting the difference between seasons in Australia and Italy.

The Year 4 studenti have been creating their versions of the most famous painting in the world, da Vinci’s Mona Lisa which has been lots of fun, particularly the parodies! The Year 5s have been busy enjoying listening to Italian musica whilst colouring their ‘Querkle’ Mona Lisa’s using a coded colour selection - they are looking fantastico

Studenti in Year 6 have been busy creating their Italian pizzas, complete with an Italian name and logo for their pizzeria. This week, they get to make and enjoy their (hopefully) delizioso creations. There was lots of mess but also lots of fun!

Wishing everyone buone vacanze and a very Buon Natale!
