YEAR 8 CAMP
Camp 1: Wednesday 8th to Friday 10th November
Camp 2: Monday 13th to Wednesday 15th November.
This year we had a change of venue for the Year 8 Camp. It was our first time at PGL Adventure Camp in Foster, approximately 170 km in the Gippsland area. Nestled in beautiful tree surroundings with a number of lakes, 98 students who attended enjoyed the eight activities organised for us.
Many of the students commented how much they enjoyed the various activities that included: Aeroball; Leap of Faith; Team Challenge; Giant Swing; Flying Fox; Raft Building; Canoeing and got dirty during the Mudrun!
Our thanks to the staff of PGL Adventure Camp who also ran the evening Campfire and Quiz nights.
Our thanks to all students who worked together in their activity groups. We received feedback from the primary school from Sale, who were also at the campsite during the first camp and told us how great our students were in lending a helping hand to some of their Grade 4 students when they got lost. You made us proud. 😊
Our thanks and gratitude to the staff who attended who, without them this would have not been possible.
Thanks to:
Camp 1 (Mr. Khairnar, Ms. Merkel, Mr. Ivory and Mr. Birkenhead) and
Camp 2 (Ms. Simmons, Ms. McMahon, Ms. Walter, Ms. Giffin, Mr. Birkuihead and Mr. Khairnar)
For the current Year 7 cohort at Brighton Secondary College, we hope to continue with this camp next year and would like to see many many more attend.
