ACTING PRINCIPAL REPORT

Dear BSC Community,

I hope this newsletter finds you well as we approach the end of another exciting school year. As the acting principal, I am proud to share some updates and highlights from our vibrant college.

First and foremost, I want to commend our senior school students for their hard work and dedication during the exam period. They have shown resilience and determination, and we are confident in their ability to excel. Let's continue to support them during this crucial time.

In the realm of sports, our fabulous junior school students have been actively participating in PASE each week on Tuesday and Fridays and achieving great results, and I’d like to especially highlight our girl’s tennis team Katherine Armstrong, Daria Caprotti, Indea-Bleu Kechagias and Mackenzie Temptest who have made it to the state finals, an amazing achievement.

I am also thrilled to announce that since opening our hockey pitch during lunchtimes, our students have been playing Soccer together, fostering a sense of teamwork and healthy competition. It's heart warming to witness their joy and happiness during these lunchtime sessions, and I would like to thank our teachers, Mr Agg, Ms Brinkley, Ms Behrendt and Mr Ward who supervise each lunchtime.

Speaking of lunchtimes, I was thrilled to see our talented senior student bands perform at lunchtime last Thursday. Their music was a delightful addition to our school atmosphere, and I would like to thank our music teachers Mr Moss who assisted and organised these musical performances.

Additionally, our year 8 students recently embarked on an unforgettable camp experience. The camp provided them with opportunities for personal growth, team-building, and exploration of the great outdoors. I want to extend my gratitude to the staff members, Ms Macridis, Mr Khairnar, Ms Merkel, Mr Ivory, Mr Birkenhead, Ms Simmons, Ms Giffin and Ms McMahon who all accompanied our students and made this experience possible.

As we approach the end of the school year, I want to express my appreciation to our dedicated teachers, staff, and parents for their unwavering support. It is through our collective efforts that we create a nurturing and inspiring environment for our students to thrive.

A reminder that Wednesday 29th November is a student free day as our teaching staff have their professional learning day, there are no classes or scheduled supervision.

Thank you for your continued involvement in our school community.
