Introducing some of our newest staff members

Hi, my name is Emma Semaan and your children call me Miss S or Miss Emma.  I have loved working with all the wonderful Grade 1 & 2 students we have at Trafalgar Primary School.  They have been so welcoming, and I am enjoying getting to know all their names and special individual personalities.  I especially love listening to the children read and hearing the improvements and extra confidence they have each week.

School Saving Bonus

Dear Parents and Carers,

In Term 4, 2024, families with a child enrolled in a government school from Prep to Year 12 in 2025 will receive the one-off $400 School Saving Bonus.

The $400 School Saving Bonus provides families with support for education-related costs, such as school activities and/or school uniforms and textbooks.

The School Saving Bonus is not available for full-fee international students, home schooled students, TAFE students and students attending kindergarten in 2025.

Actions for parents and carers

Before 18 October 2024, the Department of Education is asking parents and carers to:

  • Check your contact information: Ensure your email address and phone number is up to date with us. You can check this information by contacting us directly.

We need to ensure your contact information is up to date as the Department of Education will email you twice:

State Schools' Relief Program

State Schools' Relief provides government school students in need with new uniforms, footwear and a range of other essential educational resources. We work side by side with all primary, secondary, specialist and language schools to ensure that any students facing hardship have the necessary items they require for school.

If you are a parent or carer and you require assistance with your child’s government education, please make an appointment with the Trafalgar Primary School business manager or finance officer to discuss your situation.

Should you have a question regarding an application for SSR assistance, please contact your child’s school directly.

High School Car Park

Trafalgar High School have reported that some of our families are parking in their car park at the end of the school day to collect students. The high school car park is only available to high school staff and students, as extra cars using this space can cause safety issues. Please avoid using this area to pick up or drop off your children.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Fathers Day Stall

The Parents & Friends Committee would like to thank students and their families for purchasing Father's Day gifts last week.  A total of 740 gifts were sold that we hope were a nice surprise for the dads, grandparents, carers and other loved ones on their special day.

We also raised $2,636.50 for our school which is a fantastic outcome.

If you have any feedback, questions, would like to help for events, or would like to join our committee, please contact us on tpspandfsecretary@gmail.com

The Parents & Friends Committee thank you for your support.
