From the Desk of Kathy Nott - Term 3, Week 7
Good Afternoon Parents/Carers,
Father's Day Breakfast
It was great to see so many of our Dads, Grandads and Male Caregivers come to celebrate and enjoy breakfast with our children. We hope you enjoyed your Father's Day last Sunday and the gifts our students purchased from the Father's Day Stall. Thank you to the P&C for coordinating the stall and helping our students select gifts.
"Reading Rockstar" Borrowing Award
Last week we handed out our "Reading Rockstar" Borrowing Award for those students who consistently borrow books from our school library to read. Congratulations to Alex G, Arabella, Harry, Indianna, Jed, Joe, Kaeden, Noah, Parker, Raegan, Rubi R, Ruby B, Saige, Tailor, & Theodore. Students are able to borrow from our school library each week.
Behaviour Focus
This week our behaviour focus will again be on the value of integrity. The word integrity means to be honest and to have strong moral principles. We are asking students to:
- Own their own behaviour and not blame others
- Tell the truth
- Make good choices
- Take responsibility for their actions
Kindergarten Information Afternoon
We will be holding a Kindergarten Information Afternoon at Werris Creek & District Preschool next Monday, 9th September at 3:30pm. If you do not attend the preschool, you are still welcome to come along, or if you know of any families that are looking to enroll their children into kindergarten next year, they are most welcome to join us. I look forward to meeting all of our new families and familiar faces at this meeting.
YR 5/6 Excursion to Hill End
Our Yr 5/6 Excursion to Hill End is fast approaching. I spoke with Yr 5/6 advising what they will need to bring and more information with regards to the trip has been given to them to take home. If you require any further information with regards to this excursion, please do not hesitate to contact me.
