NSW Merino Challenge

On Monday seven students travelled to Dubbo to participate in the NSW Merino Schools Wether Challenge. This was a first-time event for Boorowa Central School, facing up against 70 other schools from across NSW, the culmination of five months preparation. Although they did not manage to win any major prizes the team was highly regarded for the way the sheep had adapted to the Boorowa conditions. A special thanks to Corkhill Agriculture for the donation of show halters and leads as well as to the Merriman family for their support and advice throughout the preparation period. We look forward to returning next year bigger and better!

Students finished their session by making a pledge to themselves for how they can look after their own or others mental health.
