Highvale SC Reward System

Highvale Secondary College continues its exciting reward system to recognise and encourage School Wide Positive Behaviours amongst members of the school. The initiative, through our Green Chronicles, aims to reinforce the school's core values: respect, resilience, integrity, responsibility and excellence.

Under this system, students can earn green chronicles for demonstrating behaviours aligning with these values. Whether it's showing respect to peers and teachers, demonstrating resilience in the face of challenges, acting with integrity in difficult situations, being responsible for their learning or striving for excellence in their academic and extracurricular pursuits, students can be recognised for their efforts.

Unlike traditional reward systems that set a standard benchmark for all students, the green chronicles focus on individual performance and growth. This means that students are recognised for their personal achievements and the positive choices they make, rather than being compared to their peers.

Once a student collects 10 green chronicles, they will receive a special certificate and a canteen voucher as a token of appreciation for their efforts. The certificate serves as a formal recognition of their commitment to embodying the school's values, while the canteen voucher offers a fun reward. The Green Chronicles system allows us to celebrate the unique strengths and contributions of each student, encouraging them to continue striving towards their personal best.

As the school year progresses, students are encouraged to continue demonstrating the school values. By focusing on our values, Highvale hopes to foster a positive and inclusive community where every student can thrive.
