Club de Español
This past Monday we had so much fun at the Spanish club. The kids became Chilean bakers for a day, cooking two types of special Chilean bread with Abu Ceci (Lucia's grandma from FC).
They learnt that Chilean people loveeeee bread, and they did a pretty awesome job baking traditional mini breads in a rainy afternoon. Kiddies tasted their creations at school and took some extra pan to bake at home to share with their families.
Kids practiced words such as: pan (bread), pancito (little bread), amasar (to knead), masa (dough) and dobladitas (a typical bread from Chile). They did a great job following instructions and working independently.

Our Spanish Club is a wonderful opportunity for our children to practice Spanish, have fun and connect with each other outside the classroom.
We are looking for more parent and carer volunteers to help us organizing the next round of activities en Español. There are no limits to what we can do! Activities could include outdoor games, crafts, cooking, art, sports, music, games or anything else you think the children would enjoy.

We encourage parents to talk about the activities with their children before coming along, so they can choose something they are genuinely interested in and excited to participate in.
Remember: Everyone is welcome! Our Spanish Club is an open club run by volunteer parents, reason why we ask that every child attending is accompanied by an adult- The adult must accompany the child and be present during the activity. This helps us keep the activities safe, enjoyable and manageable for everyone.
Important Note:
If you are unable to attend and your child will be under a different adult's care, we require you to send us an email to: spanishsubcommittee.nps@gmail.com by 3 pm on Monday before the Club. Unattended children will be taken to the school's office and they have to be picked up from there. This measure will be taken for everyone's safety.
