MRC PREP - GRADE 6 MINI ATHLETICS EVENT

The spirit of the Olympics came alive at MRC as we hosted our very own Mini Olympics! From the smallest Prep students to the energetic Year 6s, everyone joined in the fun and excitement.

Our young athletes showcased incredible talent and determination across a variety of events. Whether it was sprinting like Usain Bolt, jumping high like a kangaroo, or throwing with the precision of a javelin champion, our students were truly impressed.

But it wasn't just about winning; it was about participating, having fun, and learning the true spirit of sportsmanship & team work

A massive thank you to all the teachers, parents, and volunteers who helped make this event such a success. We're already looking forward to next year's Mini Olympics!

Year 10 Food Technology

Our Year 10 budding chefs whipped up a storm with their first cook, creating a delicious stir fry. Not only did their taste buds rejoice, but they also mastered safe knife handling skills. We're so proud of their culinary prowess!

Y11 Physics - Wind Tunnel Research at iFly Australia

"Earlier this week our year 11 physics students embarked on an excursion to iFLY in Essendon. During the excursion they had the opportunity to observe some principals of physics in action. The students also participated in an indoor skydiving session to experience air resistance and terminal velocity themselves. They were also given multiple demonstrations by instructors doing tricks and demonstrating the terminal velocity and physics surrounding different objects. Overall, the excursion was able to give students a unique experience and perspective on the practical applications of wind tunnels in physics."

Vocational Major:

Vocational Major has just launched its new project this term in partnership with VCAF: a student-run coffee shop. Currently, students are in training and offering coffees and hot beverages to teachers on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Once fully trained, they will open to parents in the morning for all their coffee and beverage needs.

Things are also heating up in our garden, with produce starting to sprout. Vocational Major students collaborated with junior year students to create scarecrows to protect our valuable produce. We hope to have produce available before the end of Term 4.
