Leadership Camp Adventures
Our recent leadership camp was an absolute blast! Students participated in various team-building activities, including:
Catapult Challenge: Using only sticks, string, and an old tyre tube, teams built catapults. The girls' team engineered the catapult that shot the tennis ball the furthest! During this activity the children collaborated, listening to others and expressing ideas that work towards a common goal.
Confidence Course: Students led each other through a course while one team member was blindfolded, fostering trust and communication.
Amazing Race: The "Poisonous Potatoes" emerged as the winners, navigating through the course and completing activities despite the rain showers, fostering problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Indoor Challenges: While welcoming the rain, students participated in indoor challenges that required teamwork. While the activities were fun and engaging the children were required to collaborate and communicate with each other to complete tasks, developing leadership skills and sportsmanship.
Students also initiated games of cricket and league tag, and enjoyed playing board games. The camp concluded with a refreshing bush walk. The food was a highlight, with everyone especially enjoying the delicious dinner and dessert. We had a wonderful time at camp creating unforgettable memories, building friendships, and embracing new challenges together.
