Year -1/2 Unit

Welcome back for Term 2! 

We hope all of the students had a relaxing and enjoyable Easter break. It’s a very short week this week, but a very big celebration has been going on…

The Year 1/2 students have been busy preparing farewell cards for Mrs Ellis. The students have had a lovely time reflecting on their memories with her and have been writing cards. Each Year 1/2 class has made booklets with a message for her. It’s clear that she will be dearly missed and has made a massive impact on the students throughout her time here. 

This week the students have been completing some Reading activities on ANZAC Day and discussing what happens on that day and why. They have made Poppy’s to put into the new garden out the front (which looks incredible thanks to Diana).

In Numeracy the students have started learning about addition strategies which will be continued next week.

Show and Tell will also begin in Week 3, so you will hear from your child's teacher about this next week.
