Main Campus - Year 4

We are so excited to continue our learning journey with our Year 4s! Term 2 will see students embarking upon new units of work, fun projects, and developing crucial skills to help them grow both academically and personally. Together, we will foster a love for learning, curiosity, and creativity that will make this year, a year to thrive. Our goal is to make the Year 4 experience enjoyable, engaging, and full of opportunities to shine. We appreciate the continued support and partnership we receive from all of our wonderful families.

This week in Year 4, we have taken the opportunity to learn about the importance of ANZAC Day. We have remembered and honoured the brave men, women and animals who courageously served our country and sacrificed their lives by making red and purple poppies for our new ANZAC garden, making and eating yummy ANZAC biscuits, listening to stories Lone Pine, Midnight: The Story of a Lighthorse and This Old Thing and writing a letter to loved one by putting ourselves in the shoes of a man or woman during World War 1.

ALGEBRA

Algebra is a cornerstone of mathematics that pops up in numerous daily activities, often without even noticing. From budgeting to cooking, the use of variables, equations, and the algebraic expressions simplifies complex tasks. Knowing how to manipulate these allow us to solve practical problems effectively. Below is a great game that we encourage you to play at home to support your child’s learning in Mathematics.
