Year 3-6 Choirs: Expressions of Interest

Thank you to the students and families who have submitted an expression of interest in the Years 3-6 Choirs. Those students have been added to the auditions list for each of the choirs, with the audition schedule as follows. Please note, the expressions of interest form has closed as published, and we are unable to add late additions to the EOI/auditions list.

The audition schedule for the Year 6 choir is as follows:

Students will be reminded on the day to attend. Please note, we are unable to accommodate make up auditions. 

During the audition, students will be asked to sing as a whole group, in small groups and some students may be asked to sing individually. During this audition process, directors are looking to see how confident a student is, their performance skills (posture and focus) and their overall vocal ability in a choral setting.

Thank you to all students who have auditioned for choir opportunities; we value their love of music and singing.   

Selections for the Years 3, 4 and 5 choirs have been posted today and those families will be notified via email. 

Rehearsals for the choirs will be starting in Week 10 at lunchtime. Please see the below schedule. 

Year 3 Choir 

Thursday 3rd April, at lunch in Turtle 1

Year 4 Choir

Monday  31st March, at lunch in Platypus 2

Year 5 Choir 

Monday 31st March, at lunch in Sea 3

Year 6 choir will hold auditions on Monday and information regarding successful applicants will be communicated shortly afterwards. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

Junior Choir 

Thank you to our families that submitted an expression of interest for Junior Choir this year. The expression of interest has now closed.

Junior Choir has a weekly lunchtime rehearsal, where students learn a range of songs, work on collaborating with their peers and enjoy creating music together. This group is not auditioned, however, for supervision it has a maximum capacity of 60 children. 

On Monday, students who completed an expression of interest will receive a copy of the Junior Choir Contract. Please read this with your child and discuss what it means. Once signed, the contract should be handed into Ms Gregory or Ms Ko. The first 60 contracts to be returned will make up the 2025 Junior Choir. 

Parents will be notified if their child is successful in securing a place in the Junior Choir via email. Please check the newsletter for updates regarding the first rehearsal.
