World’s Greatest Shave

Today, the Junior School held Crazy Hair Day.  We also watched as 12 brave Year 6 students had their hair shaved by staff from SM Hair Studio. In the next issue of eLink, we look forward to sharing more photos and stories from the day, as well as the final amount raised. In the meantime, we would like to congratulate these brave students for making a difference!

Formula One Excursion

At 7:30am on Thursday 13 March, 24 excited Year 6 students got on a bus to the Australian Grand Prix. After an enjoyable singalong, we arrived at the Grand Prix, ready to learn. Welcomed by the roaring sounds of the vehicles, we enjoyed watching them race around the track as we explored the grounds.

Everyone then enjoyed visiting the many educational stations, which included space activities, robotics, traffic safety and VR. After taking a break with our free jelly beans, we explored more of the stations, becoming pilots and drivers of many different vehicles. On the way back to the bus, we stopped to shop for items such as Lego, overpriced merchandise and very expensive food! At 3:30pm, everyone hopped on the bus exhausted from our fantabulous day. As we drove away, we could hear the cars fading away in the background. At 6:00pm, we arrived back at school, tired but happy from the amazing experience.

Teacher of Physical Education

Last week at OSHC, we celebrated the Olympics! Each day we learnt about a new game or aspect. The children even had fun running our own OSHC Olympics! We made our own medals and came up with games to compete in. This caused much excitement among the group and brought out our competitive but fair spirit!

This week, we are celebrating Harmony Week by exploring our different cultures and celebrating who we are! The children have assisted in creating a harmony tree, where our handprints and country flags have been put on display!

We hope to see you more in OSHC and always look for feedback and ideas on what we can do. Please talk to our educators to share feedback.
