P & C News

Meet Our P&C Executive Members
Tammy Cooper – P&C President
Tammy, the new President of the P&C, has two children at Applecross SHS and two cats. When not working or managing a busy home life, she loves travelling, reading, and fostering cats and kittens for the RSPCA. Tammy is looking forward to the many events planned by the P&C and various sub-committees. She welcomes any ideas, so please send them through!
Paul Taylor-Byrne – P&C Vice President
Paul has two boys who have completed their primary schooling at Winthrop Primary and started at Applecross Senior High School this year. Joining the P&C was a great way for him to engage with the school. Paul is a Healthcare Executive with over 30 years of nursing experience. At home, along with his two boys, they have a large Labrador who is a terror to any sock or cushion in his path. Originally from Ireland, Perth has been home for the last 25 years. The family loves to travel, and their next adventure will be to Vietnam! Paul is delighted to be part of the P&C and looks forward to assisting in any way he can.
Liz Erasmus – P&C Secretary
After many years on the sidelines, with her eldest now starting Year 7 at Applecross SHS, Liz has decided it’s her turn to contribute actively to the school community. Born and raised in South Africa, she spent 18 years in the UK, where she met her husband and had their two children. In 2022, they moved to Australia and are thrilled to call this beautiful city their forever home. Liz enjoys reading, traveling, cheering her kids on at sports, and indulging in great food. As an Occupational Therapist, she is constantly looking for creative ways to positively impact others’ lives. Liz is eager to bring this same passion and creativity to the school community.
We look forward to working with all of you to create a wonderful learning environment for our children. It’s that time of year again when the P&C is looking for spending ideas! Do you or your child have an idea on what the school or children need? We are looking for ideas that benefit all the students but can still allocate funds to smaller groups, for example all of Year 9 etc.
It could be facility, resource or just fun based! We would love it if you could share your ideas with us here!
