Welcome to Our Parent-Teacher Meetings
As we approach our upcoming Parent-Teacher Meeting, the teaching staff is excited to
share your children’s progress and achievements. These meetings provide us with a valuable opportunity to discuss your child’s growth, identify areas for further development, and explore new opportunities for success. Our staff will focus the day on fostering a growth mindset, which believes that abilities and intelligence can be developed through dedication, hard work, and perseverance. By working together, we can help our students build resilience, embrace challenges, and cultivate a love for learning. We look forward to meaningful conversations that support your child’s journey and align with our school values of Personal Best and Mutual Respect. Thank you for your continued partnership and commitment to your child’s education. We look forward to seeing you all next week.

Important Timetable Changes for Term 2
As we approach Term 2, we would like to inform you of some important changes that will be taking place due to several of our dedicated teachers taking long service leave and other staff adjustments.
Timetable Changes: Starting in Term 2, there will be a number of timetable changes that may affect your child’s teachers in various subjects. These changes are necessary to ensure that all classes are adequately covered and that our students continue to receive high quality education.
Impact on Your Child:
- Teacher Reassignments: Some students may have different teachers for certain subjects. We understand this can be an adjustment, but rest assured that all our teachers are highly qualified and committed to your child’s learning.
- Classroom Adjustments: There may be changes in classroom locations and schedules. We will provide updated timetables to all students before the start of Term 2 via SEQTA.
- Support for Students: Our staff will be available to support students through these transitions. If your child has any concerns or needs additional support, please encourage them to speak with their year coordinator.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we navigate these changes. Our priority remains the wellbeing and academic success of our students. Thank you for your continued support.

Duke Of Edinburgh Program
The Duke of Edinburgh Award allows young people from Years 9 to 12 to be recognised
for the things they are doing to improve themselves and their community. The award has four components: skills, physical recreation, community service and an adventurous journey. Students at Applecross Senior High School have continued to pursue their personal best in dedicating themselves to completing the award. I am pleased to announce that 13 students have achieved the Bronze award so far this year.
