Dear Parents and Families

Welcome back to Term 2. I trust that your Easter and term break were filled with joy, rest, and meaningful moments with loved ones as we celebrated the hope and new life we have in Christ. As we begin this new Term, we are excited to see our students return refreshed and ready to grow spiritually, academically and socially.

This Term brings with it many opportunities: for learning, for deepening friendships, and for continuing to build character grounded in the teachings of Jesus. This week, our Year 6 students are on camp in Hobart, our Preps to Year 4 students are participating in the Fire Safety Education program and our Secondary students have opportunities to participate in NSATIS sports.

Next week, our Kinders and Preps will visit the Tasmanian Arboretum at Eugenana, our PE Extended class are off to the local Bowls Club to experience lawn bowls, and our K-6 Cross Country Carnival and Secondary Career Expo will be held later in the week.

One of the most powerful influences in a child’s educational journey is the partnership between home and school. As Proverbs 22:6 reminds us, “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”  The responsibility of shaping young hearts and minds is not one we carry alone, we view it as a shared responsibility. When parents and teachers work together with shared values and open communication, we create a strong foundation for students to thrive.

We encourage you to stay involved, whether through regular communication with your child’s teacher, attending school and extra-curricular events, or simply asking your child about what they are learning and experiencing. Your engagement sends a powerful message to your child that education and faith are priorities worth investing in. We look forward to connecting with you at our upcoming events. On Wednesday this week we will celebrate Mother’s Day with a morning tea at the Berry Patch at Turners Beach. Next week, parents are invited to attend our Big Kids' Table Parent Workshop on Tuesday evening.

Let us continue to pray for one another and seek God’s wisdom in all we do this Term. May our school be a place where Christ is honoured in every classroom, every playground interaction, and every decision made.

Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership. It is a blessing to journey together.
