Learning in Prep!

End of Term 1!
Wow! Our Prep students have had an amazing first term! They’ve settled in well, made new friends, and grown in confidence. From exploring letters and numbers to sparking creativity, their enthusiasm has been inspiring. We’re so proud of their hard work! Now, it’s time for a well-earned break, enjoy the holidays, and we’ll see you in Term 2!

- Writing the phonograms f, g, s, e, b, and i
- Finding the people, places, and events in a story
- Matching numbers 0-9 to groups of things
- Sorting objects that are alike
Integrated and Wellbeing!
We have been learning:
- How to solve problems and fix friendship fights.
- The difference between good and not-so-good friendships, and how to use a "Friend-O-Meter" to check them.
- What it means to be brave, kind, and respectful.
- How sharing is important from Aboriginal perspectives and what sharing looks like.
- How to recognize our own special strengths and the strengths of our cultures.
During Harmony Day It was amazing to see so much orange and colorful outfits as we celebrated Australia’s diversity with the message ‘Everyone Belongs’!
In Prep, we read fun stories like I’m Australian Too and Whoever You Are to learn about how special and different we all are.
We also made cool Harmony Day crafts and had so much fun singing Better Together by Pevan and Sarah, celebrating kindness and friendship!
During Wellbeing Week each day, we focused on different ways to feel happy and healthy, like staying active, making friends, being thankful, and taking care of our minds and bodies.
It was amazing to see everyone joining in—whether it was moving our bodies, practicing calm breathing, or sharing kindness. Your big smiles and caring hearts made the week extra special! A big well done to all our Preps for being so positive, we are so proud of you!
