Wellbeing Week

Great Ryrie Primary School was excited to celebrate Wellbeing Week from Monday, March 24th, to Friday, March 28th! This dedicated week was all about fostering mental health and happiness in our staff and students, with a variety of fun and meaningful activities designed to help them develop essential wellbeing skills.
Â
đ Motivational Monday â Be Positive
We kicked off the week with a gratitude activity in the classroom, encouraging everyone to start the week with a positive mindset. Our Wellbeing and JSC captains visited the local kindergarten for a Bucker Filler activity. Staff joined Mrs Pratt for a Pilates session after school.
Â
đ§ Tranquil Tuesday â Engage Mindfully
The day was all about engagement! Students enjoyed a mindfulness session in class and visited the lunchtime clubs in 2E and the art room for a calming activity. The staff enjoyed mindful colouring in the staffroom at lunchtime.
đ¤ Wellness Wednesday â Strengthen Relationships
The focus on Wednesday was relationships. Students participated in a Personal and Cultural Strengths lesson, and Year 6 had a police visit with a focus on online safety. Parents joined us in the evening for an important Digital Safety Night. Plus, everyone enjoyed their Dixie Cup ordered through our Dixie Cup fundraiser! The staff enjoyed morning walk to the coffee shop before the start of the school day.
Â
đ Thoughtful Thursday â Find Meaning
Students discovered what brought them joy with a classroom activity focused on âjoyâ. They wore free dress to school and got ready to dance the night away at the school disco! Staff added pictures, quotes and beautiful memories to a staffroom display - The Joys of Education.Â
Â
đ Friendship Friday â Celebrate Accomplishment
We wrapped up the week with a friendship activity in class. At lunchtime, students headed to the Prep building to make friendship bracelets and loom bands with friends! The staff had a raffle with prizes supplied by Eastland and Friday morning briefing and then refined their hitting techniques at the golf driving range after school.Â

We hope everyone got enjoyed Wellbeing Week - an amazing experienceđ
