Friday’s announcement by the Director of Armidale Catholic Schools, Regina Menz, that I will be finishing my time as Principal of St Nicholas School at the end of the current school year, brings mixed emotions. I am excited by the opportunity to support principals and school communities in my role as a School Performance Leader. I am however saddened to be leaving a school and the school community I love.

In this last week, I have been incredibly humbled by the kind words and support that I have received from the St Nicholas School Community. The words and messages have been at times overwhelming and remind me how very fortunate I have been to lead this amazing school over the last 6 years.

St Nicholas School is a wonderful school. Jess and I feel so incredibly fortunate that our two children are St Nicholas School students.

Moving on will be difficult and St Nicholas Primary School, Tamworth, will forever hold a special place in my heart!

CONGRATULATIONS MISS HARRIS!

We are thrilled to announce the engagement of Miss Jess Harris, (Kinder teacher) to her partner, Ian McNeil. This exciting news marks the beginning of a beautiful new chapter in their lives, and we couldn't be happier for them! A heartfelt congratulations to Jess and Ian as they celebrate their engagement and look forward to a future filled with love, laughter, and many happy moments together.

We wish them all the best as they begin this wonderful adventure!

YEAR 6 ARE OFF TO CANBERRA!

Next week I look forward to joining our Year 6 students, staff and a group of brave parents as we hit the ACT in style! The Year 6 major excursion is a milestone and a highlight of a child’s primary years. 

Thanks to the planning and dedication of our wonderful Year 6 teachers, I am incredibly confident that this excursion will be an outstanding week for the graduating class of 2024!
