A Successful Year in Product, Design, and Technology - Woodwork at Woodmans Hill Secondary College

This year in the Product, Design, and Technology – Woodwork program has been highly successful, with students excelling in hands-on learning and refining their woodworking, design, and problem-solving skills. From intricate candle holders to larger furniture pieces, students demonstrated proficiency in using a wide range of tools while adhering to strict safety protocols.

Key achievements included translating design concepts into well-executed products, supported by detailed documentation and reflective practices. Collaborative learning was a strong element, as students assisted each other and engaged in peer feedback, fostering a positive and productive workshop environment.

The year culminated in an exhibition showcasing exemplary work, with several student projects highlighted as models of craftsmanship and design. The high quality of folios and projects reinforced the program’s success, preparing students for future challenges in design and technology.

With continued enthusiasm, the future of the woodwork program at Woodmans Hill looks promising, ready to inspire even more creativity and innovation in the coming year.
