Principal's Report
I hope everyone had a great mini break for Bendigo Cup Day and feel ready and slightly refreshed for the run to the end of term. We have lots of work to do, activities to participate in and preparations to make for the end of the year and next year. Thank you to the families who made the time to email regarding class placement, we have started this process and once complete will be unable to make any changes.
Today, our school community came together to attend Mass for All Saints Day, a significant occasion in the Church calendar and a heartfelt time for reflection at Holy Rosary. This special day offers us a meaningful opportunity to pause, remember, and honour the legacy of the saints and loved ones who have shaped our lives.
During Mass, we took a moment to remember family members, friends, and members of our community who are no longer with us. Our thoughts also turned to those whose names are lovingly etched in our school’s memorial garden. The memorial garden holds a place of respect at our school, reminding us of the lasting connection between past students, staff, and their families.
As we gathered today, we celebrated the enduring relationships that make Holy Rosary such a close-knit and supportive community. The stories and memories of those we remember continue to inspire us, as their spirit lives on in the traditions, values, and daily life of our school.
All Saints Day reminds us of the importance of community, memory, and faith – values that are deeply embedded in our school. We give thanks for each person who has played a role in shaping Holy Rosary and for the blessings of our community, past and present.
The drive through pick-up and drop off is an important aspect of traffic control around the school and I remind all parents to exercise caution and patience both before and after school. The safety of all children is paramount, and we ask that drivers move at a safe speed (walking pace) and be prepared to do a lap if your child is not ready. In addition, please park your vehicle for pick up in Napoleon crescent, we have seen a few cases of children being gestured to run into traffic to make pick up ‘easier’. A few more minutes will make it safer. Thanks to the many drivers who do take care and support a safe environment.
