Celebrating Learning

Kii 2/3S families,

Happy Halloween!!!!

The past couple of weeks we’ve been learning the story ‘Stone Soup’ and exploring the ways we can turn it into our class play! 2/3S had so much fun painting an assortment of oversized vegetable props and a giant soup pot to use in the play. Scripts have been handed out and lines have begun to be learned. I’ll send copies home for those that want to practise with your help. 

Will be in touch with class carers to look at a date for the performance. We were also lucky enough to watch the Grade 1 class play yesterday, which was very inspiring. 

In maths we’ve been focusing on fractions. Students have been recognising and interpreting common uses of halves, quarters and eighths of shapes and collections. 2/3S created their own fraction stories with chalk outside and worked together to solve each other's problems.
