Calf Showing

Last year, I saw the calf showing at the Maffra show and that is where I got the idea from. To look after him, I had to brush him feed him train him on a halter and walk him, wash him and play with him. 

It took me 8 weeks, but he improved every week. Some days it was very frustrating as he wouldn’t walk or he would pull me into the bushes!! Getting up early was not a picnic ether especially at the start. 

And on the day of the show, I had to get him on the ramps into the trailer with my dad. When we got to there, I had to walk to him in then I had to tie him up under the shed and then I got him some hay to lay on. I also had to get his water and food bucket ready. We waited a little while and then it was time to walk him around the circle as he got judged. I got asked a few questions and we came fourth. And that me really happy and my family was really happy with me and excited😊
